The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) is premier institute for research, capacity building and dissemination of knowledge for the urban sector in India. NIUA is currently engaged in inter-disciplinary research and proactive engagements with change agents, which involve projects that create & maintain digital interface solutions.

NIUA has released an official notification seeking applications from eligible and interested candidates for various vacant positions to be filled under the project “Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme”. The last date to apply online is 17th June 2024.

As per the official notification of NLC Recruitment 2024, eligible and interested candidates can apply online only through the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) official website jobs.niua.in. Required educational qualifications, eligibility and other important details are given below in brief —

Vacancy Details —
The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) has released a notification seeking applications for posts mentioned below:-

1) Expert (Land Administration)
Eligibility: Retired Civil Service Officers with a minimum of 10 years of experience in land administration- revenue/ registration/ consolidation/ survey.

2) Data Analyst
Qualification: Masters of Arts/ Science degree in Statistics/ Economics/ Business Analytics/ Operations Research, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in evaluation and data analysis, demonstrating proficiency in statistical methods, data interpretation and reporting.

3) Manager (Geo-spatial Technology)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognised University or Institute in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or related disciplines. GATE qualified and certification in GIS/ Data analysis.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing and execution GIS-related projects.

4) PFMS & Accounts Expert
Qualification: Master’s in Business Administration with experience in IT-based accounting systems, or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or qualified from the Institute of Costs and Works Accounts.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in finance and accounts with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

5) Coordinator
Qualification: Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Development Studies/ Social Work, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Science, or related fields.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in implementing and coordinating projects related to Central/State Government programs or public/private sector schemes.

6) Programmer (MIS & GIS Developer)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in database administration, encompassing database design, implementation, optimisation and maintenance.

7) Young Professional (Content Writer/ IEC Expert)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Media and Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or related fields.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in content writing, communication, or information.

8) Project Manager
Qualification: Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ Business Administration, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Strong background in land administration, with at least 6 years experience in the field of maintenance of land records/ survey/ re-survey / map digitisation/ MIS/ GIS/ land revenue and registration/ mutation/ land-use policy/ land administration, and related works.

9) GIS Technical Expert
Qualification: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of GIS-based software tools is preferred.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s in Computer Applications/ Geo-informatics or relevant fields.

Remuneration —
At par with the standards established by DoLR, commensurate with experience and skills. Proof of past remuneration (last received salary/ monthly contract payment) would be required.
