JNU Recruitment 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru University has invited applications from eligible candidates for the following listed posts for a MeitY-funded Project entitled: “VIDYAAPATI: Bidirectional Machine Translation Involving Bengali, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi and Hindi”. Under the Project titled, “National Language Translation Mission (NLTM): BHASHINI” at School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies, JNU.
The selected candidate will be appointed purely on temporary basis, initially for one year that may be extended based on the performance on yearly basis till the completion of project.

1) Senior Research Assistant (Language Technology)
– Salary: 55,000/- pm
– Qualification: M.A. in Language or M.A. in Linguistics or M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Language or M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Linguistics with courses of computational linguistics or with specialisation in computational linguistics
– Age: Maximum 40 years
2) Junior Research Assistant (Language)
– Salary: 33,000/- pm (consolidated)
– Qualification: Native Maithili Speaker with good command over spoken and written standard Maithili with MA in Linguistics with very good academic record.
– Age: Maximum 40 years
3) Liaison Officer (Language Technology)
– Salary: 55,000/- pm (consolidated)
– Qualification: M.A. in Language or M.A. in Linguistics or M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Language or M.Phil. or Ph.D. in Linguistics with courses of computational linguistics or with specialisation in computational linguistics
– Age: Maximum 40 years
