Lok Sabha Recruitment 2024: Lok Sabha has released an official notification inviting offline applications from interested and eligible candidates for the position of Consultant Interpreters. Interested candidates are required to apply offline by forwarding the application to the mentioned address. The Last date for Registration and submission of online applications is 05 August 2024 (extended).
As mentioned in the official notification of the Lok Sabha Recruitment 2024, only Indian citizens between the ages of 22 to 70 years are eligible to apply for the position of Consultant Interpreter. An applicant must possess a Master’s Degree with a Diploma in Regional Language. The selected candidates will be paid Rs. 6,000/- per day basis for the actual number of days of work undertaken / service rendered.

Vacancy Details for Lok Sabha Recruitment 2024
Applications are invited from all eligible non-official Indian Citizens and retired employee(s) for empanelment
of Consultant Interpreters for Regional Languages on a contractual basis in Lok Sabha Secretariat. The details of the number of Consultant Interpreters for Regional Language(s) to be empanelled are as follows:-

Eligibility Criteria for Lok Sabha Recruitment
The required educational qualification, experience, and age limit for each post are given below for Lok Sabha Recruitment 2024:-
Qualification
- Master’s Degree in any discipline with any one of the following conditions:-
- Regional language(s) concerned as recognized in the Constitution of India as a compulsory/elective subject at the Matriculation (Class X) or equivalent or higher level;
or - Diploma in the regional language(s) concerned from a recognized university/institution;
or - Regional language(s) concerned as the mother tongue.
OR
- Regional language(s) concerned as recognized in the Constitution of India as a compulsory/elective subject at the Matriculation (Class X) or equivalent or higher level;
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent along with 05 (five) years of experience in translation or interpretation work in the regional language concerned.
Age Limit
Only Indian citizens between the ages of 22 to 70 years are eligible to apply for the position of Consultant Interpreter. Age shall be reckoned as on the last date prescribed for receipt of application.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates will have to appear in Oration Test / Simultaneous Interpretation Test(s) as follows:-
- Oration Test: Candidates will be subjected to an Oration test which will be of 200 marks. Only those candidates who qualify the Oration Test at the requisite standards will be allowed to appear in the Simultaneous Interpretation Test.
- Simultaneous Interpretation Test: From the concerned regional language to English/Hindi (5 Minutes) of 100 Marks and from English/Hindi to the concerned language (5 Minutes) of 100 Marks.
The performance of the candidates will be assessed under five specific parameters, i.e. Coverage; Accuracy; Style and Diction; Continuity of Interpretation; and Voice, Pronunciation and Accent.
