Indian Army Recruitment 2024: The Indian Army has released a notification inviting applications from eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates and also from Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. There are 381 positions available for the mentioned posts.
As mentioned in the notification of the Indian Army Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s age should be between 20 to 27 years. The selected candidates will be paid between Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 2,50,000/- plus other allowances as admissible.
The candidates will be selected through SSB Interview and Medical Examination. Candidates must possess an Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of the Engineering Degree. Eligibility Criteria of Indian Army SSC Recruitment 2024
The required educational qualification, experience, and age limit for each post are given below for Indian Army Recruitment 2024:-
Nationality
A candidate must either be:-
(i) A citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Limit
(i) For SSC (Tech) – Men and SSC (Tech)- Women: 20 to 27 years as on 01 April 2025 (Candidates born between 02 Apr 1998 and 01 Apr 2005, both days inclusive).
(ii) For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel: A maximum of 35 years of age as on 01 April 2025.
Educational Qualification
Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of the Engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination alongwith marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 April 2025.
Tenure of Engagement
Officers (Male and Female) shall be liable to serve for ten years. The said tenure, however, may be extendable by a further period of four years subject to their opting for the same and found eligible and suitable for extension of service as per terms of engagement issued from time to time.
Salary
The selected candidates will be paid up to Rs. 2,50,000/- per month.

- Click on ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (Registration is not required, if already registered on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).
- Fill out the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.
- After getting registered, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard. A page ‘Officers Selection – ‘Eligibility’ will open.
- Then click ‘Apply’ shown against the Short Service Commission Technical Course.
- Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill details as required.
- ‘Save & Continue’ each time before you go to the next segment.
- After filling details click on ‘Submit’.
- The candidates are required to take out two copies of their application having Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of the online application on the last day.
