IOCL 476 Engineering Assistant and other Posts Out: Indian Oil Corporation Limited, IOCL has invited online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the recruitment of 467 Non-Executive Personnel for its Refineries and Pipelines Divisions. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of IOCL at iocl.com. This recruitment drive will fill up 476 Non-Executive positions includes Junior Engineering Assistants, Junior Quality Control Analyst, Junior Engineering Assistant (Fire & Safety), Engineering Assistant (Electrical), Engineering Assistant (Mechanical), Engineering Assistant (T&I) and Technical Attendants.

Candidates selected for the mentioned posts will receive a pay scale ranges from Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 1,05,000, depending on the post and location. The application process was started on July 22 and will close on 21 August 2024. Read below for eligibility, selection process and other details.

  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Production): Diploma in Chemical Engg./ Petrochemical Engg./ Chemical Technology/ Refinery and Petrochemical Engg. OR 3 yrs B.Sc with minimum 50% Marks
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (P&U): Diploma in Mechanical Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engg. OR Matric with 2 yrs ITI or B.Sc with BCC with Second Class OR National Apprenticeship Certificate in Boiler Attendant
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (P&U-O&M: Diploma in Electrical Engg./ Electrical and Electronics Engg. with minimum 50% marks
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Electrical)/ Junior Technical Assistant- IV: Diploma in Electrical Engg./ Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engg. wih minimum of 50% marks
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Mechanical)/ Junior Technical Assistant- IV: Diploma in Mechanical Engg. with minimum of 50% marks
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Instrumentation)/ Junior Technical Assistant- IV: Diploma in Instrumentation Engg./ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engg. with minimum of 50% marks
  • Junior Quality Control Analylist- IV: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry & Mathematics with minimum 50% marks
  • Junior Engineering Assistant- IV (Fire & Safety): Matric and Sub-Officers’ Course from NFSC Nagour or Equivalent (Regular Course of Minimum 6 months duration) with Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
  • Engineering Assistant (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engg./ Electrical and Electronics Engg. with minimum 50% marks
  • Engineering Assistant (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engg./ Automobile Engg. with minimum 50% marks
  • Engineering Assistant (T&I): Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engg./ Electronics & Radio Communication Engg./ Electronics & Telecommunication Engg./ Instrumentation & Control Engg./ Instrumentation & Process Control Engg./ Electronics Engg. with minimum 50% marks
  • Technical Attendant- I: Matric/ 10th pass andd ITI pass in the specified ITI Trades and Trade Certificate/ National Trade Certificate issued by SCVT/ NCVT

Age Limit: Candidates applying from General/EWS category should not be more than 26 years. Relaxation to candidates applying from other categories shall apply as per Government of India guidelines.

Salary: Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 1,05,000, depending on the post and location.

  • Next, click on the careers tab, available on the homepage.
  • Now, click on the “Click Here to Apply” link given under the relevant advertisement.
  • Fill out the application form.
  • Upload all the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form and print a copy for future reference.

Selection Process: The selection methodology will comprise Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT). The SPPT will be of qualifying nature. The Computer based test will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 1 marks each and the time allotted for completing the CBT is 120 minutes. CBT for a discipline may be conducted in one/two/three sessions in a single day. Every candidate will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the Computer Based Test for being shortlisted for qualifying for SPPT.

Application Fee: General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates are required to pay Rs.300/- as application fee (non-refundable) through online payment gateway only. The bank charges, as applicable, have to be borne by the candidate.
