SSC MTS Notification 2024: The SSC MTS exam is a national-level examination administered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial positions in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. This examination offers job opportunities for 10th-pass candidates.

Candidates who qualify for the multi-tasking staff (MTS) positions are appointed with a Pay Level-1 as per the Pay Matrix of the 7th Pay Commission. The salary structure for these positions includes a basic pay ranging from Rs. 5,200 to Rs. 20,200, along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800.

In addition to the MTS positions, the SSC also conducts the Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, in 2024. This examination provides employment opportunities for candidates who have passed the 10th grade.

SSC MTS Recruitment Vacancy Details 2024

The SSC has recently announced the release of SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2024, accompanied by the SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Notification. In the year 2024-25, a total of 8326 vacancies have been made available by the Staff Selection Commission, comprising 4887 vacancies for Multi Tasking Staff positions and 3436 vacancies for Havaldar positions in CBIC and CBN. The distribution of vacancies based on different categories for both Multi Tasking Staff and Havaldar posts has been presented in the following table.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2024 is Rs. 100/–

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for the SSC MTS 2024 exam.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2024 Exam. 

Age Limit

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

i) MTS: 18-25 years.
ii) Havaldar: 18-27 years

Apart from the pre-mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Salary

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary lies in the range of 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month with a pay band of (Rs.5200 – 20200) depending of the job post and city allocated.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted based on three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below- 

Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)
Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

I. One-time Registration

• Step 1: To start with, click on the above-mentioned link to get redirected to the official page of SSC.
• Step 2: On the official page, you will find the “Register Now” button. Click on the button to start your SSC MTS 2024 Online Application.
• Step 3: In the first part of the registration process, you must fill in your General Details, such as your name, Father’s name, Mother’s Name, Address, Contact Number, Email ID etc.
• Step 4: Click on the Submit Button, you will get your application number and mail will be sent to the registered email ID with your login ID and Password.

II. Filling Online Application for the Examination

• Step 5: Login again with the Login ID and Password and continue with the process of the SSC MTS Online Application Process
• Step 6: In the second part of the Application Process, upload your recently clicked passport-size photograph and signature in the required format
• Step 7: Fill in your education qualifications, and your choice of center and click on the submit button.
• Step 8: In the final step of the Application Process, you must pay the Application Fees for the SSC MTS 2024 Exam through the Online Mode of payment (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/NEFT etc.) or through an Offline Mode of Payment (E-Challan)
• Step 9: Click on the “SUBMIT APPLICATION” button. Your Online Application form will be successfully submitted.
• Step 10: Take a printout and save the pdf file of the SSC MTS Application Form for future reference.
