BSI Recruitment 2024: The Botanical Survey of India (BSI) has released the latest employment notification inviting applications for Junior Research Fellows and Research Associate positions for a project on Himalayan biodiversity on a temporary basis for three years and requires extensive travel to Himalayan regions.

As mentioned in the official notification of BSI there are 06 vacant positions available for the mentioned posts. Applications must be submitted by 31st May 2024, with interviews taking place in Kolkata.

As per the official notification of BSI Recruitment 2024, eligible and interested candidates can apply offline by filling out the application form and forward the same to the given address below. Required educational qualifications, eligibility and other important details are given below in brief —

BSI Vacancy Details —
The Botanical Survey of India (BSI) invites offline applications temporarily from eligible candidates for the Junior Research Fellows and Research Associate positions:-

i) Junior Research Fellows — 05 Posts
– Qualification: Master’s degree
– Age Limit: 28 Years

ii) Research Associate — 01 Post
– Qualification: PhD
– Age Limit: 35 Years

Place of Work —
The selected candidates is expected to work in the regional centre of BSI or Kolkata. He/She will be required to undertake extensive travel to various regions, including Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, North Bengal, and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as other locations as per the project needs. Travel assignments may also involve extensive field trips to remote localities of the IHR.

Selection Process —
The selection process for BSI posts involves the submission of applications, which will then be screened to shortlist eligible candidates. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an offline interview at the Botanical Survey of India office in Kolkata. Selection will be based on interview performance and merit.

Candidates need to bring filled application forms and self-attested copies of documents for verification during the interview.

Application Process —
To apply, interested and eligible candidates are required to fill out the provided application form (Annexure-2) and attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, research experience documentation, and proof of date of birth. If employed, include a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from your current employer.

Send the application via Speed Post/Registered Post to the Technical Section In-charge, CGO Complex, 3rd MSO Building, Block F (5th and 6th Floor), DF Block, Sector I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700064 or email it to bsinmhs@gmail.com on or before the last date. Clearly label the envelope with ‘Application for the post of RAI/JRF under the NMHS funded project’. The deadline for submissions is 31st May 2024.
